Serving the Communities of the Morongo Basin for more than 20 years. The MBTA currently has 36 employees and operates a fleet consisting of 24 buses, all of which operate on compressed natural gas. The MBTA operates two compressed natural gas (CNG) stations in Joshua Tree and Twentynine Palms to support its operations and has just completed building an intermodal Transportation center in the town of Yucca Valley and Twentynine Palms.A joint powers authority, the MBTA operates in 10 communities including Joshua Tree, Twentynine Palms, Yucca Valley, Morongo Valley and Landers.
